James Hansen earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1995 after graduating Cum Laude from Western State University College of Law. Mr. Hansen clerked for Justice Edward J. Wallin of the Fourth District Court of Appeal in 1994. He was also Articles Editor for the Western State Law Review and recipient of American Jurisprudence awards in Contracts, Property, Civil Procedure, Remedies, Professional Responsibility and Legal Writing.
Mr. Hansen is admitted to practice in all Courts of the State of California, all U.S. District Courts in California and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hansen has served as an Adjunct Professor at Western State University College of Law and published the article entitled, Hey Tootsie, This Ain't No Hostile Work Environment! Sexual Harassment After Harris v. Forklift Systems, Western State Law Review, Fall 1994.

Mr. Hansen has represented businesses and individuals in all types of insurance defense cases for several large insurance carriers through arbitration and trial including several cases heard by the California Court of Appeal. In addition, as a Partner at Callahan, McCune & Willis, LLP, Mr. Hansen managed the Research and Development Department supervising drafting of appellate briefs and law and motion.
Mr. Hansen has defended cases ranging from soft-tissue cases to accidents resulting in brain damage and death. Mr. Hansen has also represented businesses in cases arising from construction defects, product liability, tenant habitability and employment disputes. He has also litigated several class actions including statewide and nationwide classes of consumers or employees in excess of 100,000 persons alleging claims of Unfair Business Practices, False Advertising, Business and Professions Code Section 17200/17500, Product Liability, Labor Code Violations, and Habitability Claims.
